Hunt Grouse, Pheasant, Ducks and Geese
UPLAND GAME BIRDS: Sharp-tail Grouse, Prairie
Chicken, and Mourning Dove are plentiful; the Ring-neck
Pheasant newly established and doing very well. The
grouse and prairie chicken love the grassy hills and the
many shelter belt areas. The hunters enjoy the crisp
walks through the hills as they pursue these birds. The
ring-neck pheasant is found in the shelter belts, and
on the meadows, and seems to thrive on a variety of seeds
and the bounty of nature’s variety of bugs.

The
Mourning Doves linger around the stock tanks. The
more patient hunter will have many opportunities to shoot
during the day and early evening. It is a pleasant
way to spend time while observing the natural order of
the wild birds.
There are several spring-fed lakes on the ranch and they
are home to the Great Northern Goose, and to numerous
duck of many varieties. The waterfowl are plentiful
and they generally will stay until the lakes freeze over
and then, head south for warmer climate.
The Double R Guest Ranch, LLC offers a rewarding hunt
due to an abundance of wild game. Exclusive hunting rights
will be given if a total of 8 hunters are guaranteed with
required deposits paid as agreed. Two cabins will be furnished
for these 8 hunters (Big Cabin and Lakeside Cabin.) All
hunters are required to sign a Waiver of Liability prior
to any hunting. Season dates and permits are available

Double R Guest Ranch, LLC does not have hunting permits

Lodging
There are 3 units available. The larger, newest
cabin has a double bed, 2 twin beds, and a foldout futon,
a full size couch and a cot. The second unit has 3 twin
beds and a fold out futon. The 3rd unit is the Lakeside
cabin and it has a double bed, 3 twin beds and a fold
out couch.
All
three units have satellite TV, kitchen, bedroom, living
area, appliances, dinnerware, utensils, pots and pans,
bedding and linens. Each unit has room to relax with
comfortable furniture. All cabins have propane BBQ grills.
Enjoy your relaxation time by playing cards, games,
or just rehashing the day’s activities.

Rates
and Reservations
3 Day Hunt $300 Per Person ( Extra days per person
$150/day) Nonhunting guests will be charged at a rate
of $50/night/person.
Minimum of 2 Persons and a maximum of 6 Persons,
in large cabins and a maximum of 4 in small cabin. Hunt
Includes: Lodging but no meals. The cabins have completely
furnished kitchens. No guide will be furnished, but
hunters will be shown land boundaries by land owner
and also given a plat map. You will be granted all private
land access. A dog kennel is available for your use.
Dogs are not allowed in cabins and must be kenneled
or supervised at all times. Hunters will be responsible
for any damages that occur. A deposit of $125 per person
is required to secure the reservation, with the balance
due upon arrival. No deposit refunds will be made; however,
you may reschedule the hunt if done within 12 months
of the original scheduled hunt if unforeseen circumstances
arise.
